Back From Nashville yet again... It seems like the more I go the more I find in common with it. People think its a "MUSIC THING" and I suppose thats a part of it, but really its a people thing. I love living in Calgary... But it is really becoming very BIG CITY... I miss the small town sensibility it had not to long ago.... Thats what I think I like about Nashville so much.
The meetings this trip were highly successful and leave me very excited for the near future...Nothing in writing yet but we're close to our step 1 Goal!!!! What struck me most this time around is how tough things are getting in Nashville... Hearing stories of Songwriters I idolize falling on hard times... A&R reps losing there jobs.... Hopefully 2011 will bring with it good news and better business for the publishing community in 2011.
Well its time to do some Christmas shopping and focus on family for the balance of the year...
